PAY CITATIONS ONLINE
Richmond International Airport (RIC) is operated for the benefit of Virginia’s Capital Region by the Capital Region Airport Commission (CRAC), an independent political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Commission has adopted Rules and Regulations to provide all of its users a safe and efficient airport. If you received a citation, it was issued because of an observed vehicular or pedestrian violation of one or more of the rules set forth in the Commission’s Rules and Regulations.
If the amount is not paid within ten (10) days from the date of issuance, additional penalties may apply.
For your convenience, CRAC offers an online payment portal accepting Visa, MasterCard and American Express to pay citations.
How to Pay
To pay for a parking citation(s), or for more inquires on your citation(s), you can search by Citation Number or License Plate. You can simply enter your citation number, which can be found on the original ticket. Or, for search by License Plate, enter your license plate number.
Pay online:
Secure payments can be made with MasterCard, VISA or American Express 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Contesting a Citation?
See "Contesting a Citation" information below.
Pay by mail:
Make check or money order payable to “CRAC.” Include a copy of the citation and/or note your citation number. Write the citation number on your check or money order (to avoid delays that could result in late fees). DO NOT SEND CASH.
If you are mailing your payment using your own envelope, please mail to the following address:
Capital Region Airport Commission
Attn: Public Safety – Parking Citation
1 Richard E. Byrd Terminal Drive
Richmond, Virginia 23250
Penalties/Failure to Pay
A late payment penalty will be added to the original fine for any citation not paid by the due date. After three notices have been mailed requesting payment, CRAC will request that the Virginia Department of Taxation withhold the outstanding balance from your state tax refund.
Contesting a Citation
If you are contesting a citation, you must submit a Contested Violation Form or written statement explaining the reason you are challenging the violation notice, along with your name, complete address, phone number and payment.
Filing a Contested Violation Form DOES NOT relieve you from paying your citation as required.
Mail the Contested Violation Form and payment to:
Capital Region Airport Commission
Attn: Public Safety – Parking Citation
1 Richard E. Byrd Terminal Drive
Richmond, Virginia 23250
Upon review of your contested form, if the reviewing official determines that you were issued the citation in error, you will receive a refund from the Capital Region Airport Commission (CRAC).
CITATIONS MAY NOT BE CONTESTED OR PAID OVER THE PHONE
