Spirit Airlines to Relocate Operations to Concourse A

Airline Transitions to Gate A5 Mid-Day on Monday, July 7
RICHMOND, Va., July 3, 2025 – Richmond International Airport (RIC) and Spirit Airlines jointly announce that the airline will move its operations from Concourse B to Concourse A mid-day on Monday, July 7. Morning flights will be handled at Gate B7, then permanently transition to Gate A5 for afternoon and evening operations. The location of the airline’s ticket counter in North Ticketing remains unchanged.
Passengers flying onboard Spirit are encouraged to check their boarding passes, terminal signage, and flight information displays prior to entering RIC’s separate security screening checkpoint portals.
Spirit first began serving Richmond on March 15, 2018, and has become a key operator offering affordable and convenient travel options to three destinations from RIC: Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), and recently added Detroit (DTW). Tickets and information are available now at Spirit.com.
