Airport CEO Named a 2026 Virginia C-Suite Award Honoree

Virginia Business recognizes Dr. Perry Miller among top leaders in state
Virginia Business has selected Perry J. Miller, Ph.D., A.A.E., I.A.P., president and CEO of Richmond International Airport (RIC), as a 2026 Virginia C-Suite Awards recipient.
Miller became president and CEO in 2019, and, for almost seven years, he has led the airport with a steady, people-centered approach to change management that balances long-term vision with practical execution. That vision is most clearly expressed in the airport’s new five-year strategic plan, Wheels Up 2030, which he championed from concept through adoption. The plan reflects both ambition and discipline, setting up RIC for sustainable growth while reinforcing its role as a key economic driver for the region.
As the leader of an organization that already plays a significant role in regional prosperity – supporting more than 14,000 jobs and generating approximately $2.4 billion in annual economic impact, according to a recent Commonwealth study – Dr. Miller is focused on positioning the airport for even greater contributions.
“It’s an honor to be named a 2026 Virginia C-Suite Award honoree and to have been considered alongside so many outstanding leaders in government, education, nonprofit, and the private sector,” Miller said. “I am very fortunate and proud to lead a fantastic group of dedicated professionals whose work continues to propel Richmond International Airport toward becoming the region’s preferred gateway to the world.”
The Virginia C-Suite Awards celebrate top corporate executives who consistently demonstrate remarkable leadership skills, integrity, values, vision, commitment to excellence, company performance, and community engagement. The honorees must have their primary work office in Virginia and hold a top corporate executive position (such as CEO, COO, CFO, etc.) or equivalent job (executive director, owner, etc.).
“Virginia Business congratulates this year’s honorees. Our 2026 C-Suite Awards winners are outstanding leaders who demonstrate impressive resumes and lead their companies to success, making a positive impact on the lives of others. They are trendsetters who empower those who work with them,” said Richard Foster, associate publisher of Virginia Business. “They are examples to all, and their leadership is growing the next generation.”
