Southwest Announces New Service and $89 Fares for Richmond

$89 FARES BETWEEN RICHMOND AND ORLANDO
Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) today announced new service beginning Nov. 3, 2013, to Richmond with a daily nonstop flight to Orlando. AirTran Airways will continue to operate nonstop service between Richmond and Atlanta.
Also on Nov. 3, 2013, Southwest will begin service to Pensacola and Memphis, completing the planned arrival by year’s end of Southwest’s Low Fares and Legendary Customer Service in 89 domestic destinations, including all previously served by wholly owned subsidiary AirTran Airways.
To celebrate the new service, Southwest Airlines is launching a fare sale, offering nonstop flights starting as low as $89 one-way. These low fares are available for purchase on www.southwest.comtoday through Saturday, May 13, 2013, 11:59 p.m.
The new nonstop service offered on both carriers comes as Customers are able to purchase itineraries among the airlines’ combined 97 destinations, including international airports, in one transaction.
AirTran service will end Nov. 2 in both Memphis and Pensacola.

Available only on www.southwest.com or www.swabiz.com. Purchase from May 6, 2013, through May 13, 2013, 11:59 pm. Travel August 11, 2013 through Dec 13, 2013. Blackout dates apply: Nov. 26, 2013 through Dec. 3, 2013. Flights operated by AirTran Airways until Nov. 2, 2013. Available on published, scheduled service only. Southwest Service to Richmond begins on Nov. 3, 2013. Displayed prices include all government taxes and fees. Seats are limited. Fares may vary by destinations, flight, and day of week and won’t be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. Fares are available for one-way travel. Fares may be combined with other Southwest Airlines combinable fares. If combining with other fares, the most restrictive fare’s rules apply. Fares are not combinable with Senior Fares. Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are not available through Group Desk. Any change in itinerary may result in an increase in fare.
