United Airlines Launches New Richmond-Denver Service

LONGEST AND MOST-WESTERLY FLIGHT FROM RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (RIC)

United Airlines today launched first-ever daily service between Richmond International Airport and Denver International Airport. United operates the Richmond-Denver flights with 76-seat Embraer EMB 175 aircraft offering United First®, Economy Plus, and Economy seating options.

“United’s new daily service to Denver provides our customers from throughout Virginia’s Capital Region with convenient access to another major economic center and home to one of our largest hub airports,” said Kellie Clough, United’s sales manager in Richmond. “We are committed to making United the airline of choice for customers traveling to Denver and beyond.”

“The growth of the region is dependent upon our ability to transport people in and out of the area in an efficient and economical fashion,” said Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Maurice Jones.  “United’s nonstop flight between Richmond and Denver will enable visitors, business executives and other talent to go back and forth between two great American cities, benefiting the economy in both areas.”

  • At 1,482 miles, the new route will be the longest and most westerly flight originating from RIC.
  • Denver ranks as the 11th-most popular destination for Richmond Region travelers.
  • More than 60,000 passengers a year travel between Denver and Richmond.
